In making the choice of which surgery is needed, our surgeons consider which surgery can best addresses the patient’s complaint. What Is BMI (Body Mass Index)
Body Mass Index (BMI) is another measurement that is commonly used to evaluate the status of a patient’s weight. To calculate BMI in adults: weight in pounds divided by height in inches. Divide once again by height in inches. Multiply by 703.
- Normal BMI: 18.5-24.9
- Overweight BMI: 25-29.9
- Obese BMI: 30 and greater
