Dr. Seth R. Jones was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. Born with a compassionate nature and an aesthetic eye, he knew from a young age that he wanted to become a physician, specifically a plastic surgeon.
Early on, Dr. Jones demonstrated his personal commitment to his academics and to serving the community. At the age of thirteen, he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Upon graduation from high school, he was named Valedictorian of his class. Following high school, Dr. Jones attended Brigham Young University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, earning a degree in zoology. Following graduation from Brigham Young University, Dr. Jones began his medical training at the University of Nevada School of Medicine where he earned the degree of medical doctor in 2000. After medical school, Dr. Jones completed a rigorous 6 year Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. During that time Dr. Jones dedicated his time and skill to the people of Columbia treating craniofacial and hand anomalies. Following residency, Dr. Jones completed an aesthetic fellowship with a concentration in breast and body at the Hunstad Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Dr. Jones was featured in the prestigious Aesthetic Surgery Journal published by the American Society for Plastic Surgery. He co-authored an article on the proper technique for combining abdominoplasty (“tummy tuck”) with liposuction to deliver superior results for patients.

Mentor implants are an FDA approved product from Allergan that are often used in breast augmentation procedures. They are made with silicone gel and can help women achieve various natural looking and feeling breasts. Mentor implants include use MemoryGel® which contains a proprietary cohesive polymer that is neither a liquid or semi-liquid. The Natrelle® Collection of breast implants are manufactured and sold by the Allergen company, they include both saline-filled and silicon gel-filled breast implants. They have been approved by the FDA since 2000 and are often referred to the most studied breast implant in the United States. Natrelle implants include the 3 standard profile options (Style 10, Style 15, & Style 20) as well as a fourth profile option (Style 45) that is designed for women with more narrow chests.
The three most common profile options for breast implants are high, moderate, & low. These terms describe the projection or distance the implant will be from the chest wall.
- Low (Style 10) Profile: The low profile has the lowest distance from the chest wall. A patient with a larger chest wall (size 36-38 bra) might choose a low profile in order to spread the implant adequately across the chest wall.
- Moderate (Style 15): A moderate profile implant exists between high and low and is often chosen by patients with moderate chest wall (size 32-36 bra).
- High (Style 20): Style 20 has the highest projection or distance from the chest wall and is often chosen for women who have a smaller chest wall (size 32 bra).
- Style 45: Natrelle also offers a Style 45 implant. This implant was designed for women with a more narrow chest and allows women to receive larger implants with larger projection.
Patients at Cape & Islands Plastic Surgery will often choose between Saline-filled or Silicon Gel-filled implants in one of the profile options. Dr. Michael Loffredo & Dr. Jones will go over the details of both options and can help make recommendations on which implant is better suited for a specific patient. It should be noted that patients must be at least 22 years of age to receive a silicon gel-filled implant, while women need to be at least 18 years or older to receive saline-filled implants.
