What Is Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery)?

Blepharoplasty is one of the most common surgical cosmetic procedures that is done nationwide. This eyelid surgery works by removing excess fat and skin from around the eyelids. As we age we may notice excess fat or skin leading to droopy eyes or bags underneath our eyes. With this procedure, the extra skin or fat is removed so that your eyes no longer have noticeable bags or have a droopy appearance. Many patients get this procedure in their 50s or 60s, however, some patients get it earlier.
