According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, in 2015 there were 15.6 million plastic surgery procedures in the U.S. What may surprise some is that the large majority of these procedures were non-surgical or “minimally invasive”. In fact, 14.2 million of the 15.6 million plastic surgery procedures performed were “minimally invasive”.
At Cape & Islands Plastic Surgery Dr. Jones and Dr. Loffredo have performed countless successful non-invasive procedures since opening the doors to their practice in 2011. People choose non-invasive procedures because they are usually faster and have a minimal recovery time compared to surgical procedures.
Here are a few popular procedures we perform for residents of Cape Cod, Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, and the South Shore:
Botox:
Botox is the most popular minimally invasive procedure in the U.S. With 6.7 million procedures performed in 2015 it is an incredibly common practice that results in the smoothing of deep lines between your brows, as well as your forehead.
Botox is also used to treat crow’s feet around your eyes. Dr. Jones and Dr. Loffredo personally perform these procedures at Cape & Islands Plastic Surgery. This ten minute procedures lasts for up to 4 months and leaves minimal bruising.
Zara Bogorff R.N is a certified and experienced nurse injector who personally performs the Botox procedure.
Juvederm:
Are wrinkles and folds an issue that you’d like to take care of? Juvederm is the only FDA approved injection that instantly adds volume to your cheek area and smooths wrinkles and folds. Dr. Jones and Dr. Loffredo can also use Juvederm to add volume to lips.
Many clients find that Juvederm can return your skins appearance to a more youthful state in one appointment. However, if you are targeting multiple areas, more than one appointment may be needed.
The Juvederm procedure is performed at the Cape & Islands Plastic Surgery office and is personally performed by Zara Bogorff R.N as well.
CoolSculpting:
CoolSculpting is a fat reduction procedure invented by Dieter Manstein of Massachusetts General Hospital and Rox Anderson of Harvard Medical in 2008. It works by targeting the fat cells underneath the skin, which the body then naturally processes. Once the cells go away, then they are gone. During the procedure, you may feel limited discomfort and there is little to no recovery time afterwards. Patients typically see results within 3 months of this procedure.
Cape & Islands Plastic Surgery now offers “dual ColdSculpting”. With the addition of a second CoolSculpting machine, we can target two areas of the body at once. And we are the only location on Cape Cod and the Islands with two systems so we can treat multiple areas at once. Cutting down the length of time and number of your office visits.
As always, Cape & Islands Plastic Surgery is happy to walk you through all these procedures in more depth to find the right fit for your goals. Contact us today for a consultation!
