Mini-Abdominoplasty on Cape Cod
A mini-abdominoplasty provides less dramatic results compared to a traditional abdominoplasty. A mini-abdominoplasty does remove sagging skin around the abdominal area but there is no plication of the true abdominal wall. Because of this, it is important to make sure that a patient is the right candidate for a mini-abdominoplasty compared to a full abdominoplasty. Am I Good Candidate For A Mini-Abdominoplasty?
As mentioned earlier a mini-abdominoplasty is a slightly different procedure when compared to a full abdominoplasty. For this reason patients are considered based on which procedure is a better match for their goals. Generally, a patient is a good fit for a mini-abdominoplasty if they are relatively thin, the main issue area that needs to be treated is below the belly button, and there is little or no bulging of the true abdominal wall.
Mini-Abdominoplasty Post-Care
There is usually less discomfort post-operatively with a mini-abdominoplasty than with a full abdominoplasty. However, Dr. Loffredo and Dr. Jones provide the same narcotics post-operatively for all mini-abdominoplasty patients as they do for the full abdominoplasty patients.*
