As we all emerge from quarantine and more than 18 months of time spent much differently than in years past, you may be looking forward to the holidays this year more than ever, with excitement to see long-lost friends and family. If you are hoping to have a new body or at least a few enhancements to show off at this year’s holiday festivities, now is the time to start planning!
Here at Cape and Islands Plastic Surgery, we offer a variety of procedures to meet every individual’s body goals. From non-surgical procedures like Coolscultping and EMSCULPT to injectables and fillers such as Botox and Juvederm, to complete body transformations including tummy tucks, liposuction, and breast reductions or augmentations.
Scheduling Your Body Contouring or Injectables Consultation
The first step for any of our treatments or surgical procedures is a patient consultation. For our injectables, a patient would come to our office in either Plymouth or Hyannis to discuss their goals, get a full facial assessment, and discuss their beauty budget. Our certified staff would then make recommendations to best meet your expectations and you’d make your treatment appointment. For Botox, results take anywhere from 3 days to a week to fully show up, and typically last 3-5 months, meaning September and October would be a great time to book your Botox appointment to look your best during the holiday season!
When it comes to fillers, the results are essentially instantaneous, however, it takes a few days for the fillers to fully settle to achieve your final results. Fillers can last anywhere from 9 months to 2 years, which means you’ll be looking your best right through the new year.
When Should You Get CoolSculpting or Kybella For The Chin
Hoping to get shed that double chin for all those holiday selfies ahead? You’ll want to schedule your Kybella consultation ASAP, as it generally takes 2-4 treatments to achieve the desired results. Kybella is injected into the fat under your skin and causes the destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat, therefore once the desired result is achieved, no additional treatment will be necessary.
Coolsculpting is another great option for those looking for a nonsurgical alternative to liposuction, or those looking to slim down a certain stubborn area that has been resistant to diet and exercise. After your complimentary consultation, our doctors will determine whether Coolsculpting is right for you and develop a customized treatment plan that fits within your budget. Because Coolsculpting results can take up to three months to fully develop, we recommend planning ahead to give yourself plenty of time to look your best by a certain occasion (like say, a fancy New Year’s Eve party!).
When Should You Schedule A Plastic Surgery Consultation
If you’re interested in having a surgical procedure done, the planning and recovery time is longer, so starting your journey now would be advisable. For instance, breast augmentations, which is one of the most popular plastic surgery procedures we perform, most patients usually need to take 2-3 weeks of recovery time, and swelling can take up to 2 months to completely resolve. Even still, some patients don’t see their “final result” for up to 6 months. With breast augmentations, there is also some preliminary consultations during which you will determine your sizing. Most patients return for a second sizing before they make the important decision of choosing their new breast size.
One final aspect of planning ahead for treatments and procedures is budget. Determining your beauty goals and then making a financial plan to get there is one of the most important parts of the preparation process. We offer clients detailed estimates prior to all treatments and procedures and are always as transparent as possible with our pricing. We offer competitive rates as well as payment and financing options to help you achieve your goals within your set budget.
