Aesthetic Treatments That Target The Arm Area

Spring and summer bring many opportunities to break out your favorite sleeveless outfits. Although for many patients, their arms can be something they see as a problem area. Loose skin, stretch marks, and cellulite, or excess body fat, might make the idea of wearing a sleeveless dress or a swimsuit more stressful than relaxing. With decades of experience, our board-certified plastic surgeons frequently consult with patients who bring up their arms as one of their primary concerns. We offer both surgical and non-surgical treatments that address sagging, skin texture, and excess fat. In this guide, we will cover some of these treatments. Surgical vs Non-Surgical Arm Treatments

One of the most common and well-known treatments for the arms is a brachioplasty or an “arm lift”. This is a surgical procedure that removes both excess fat and skin between the elbow and the underarm. It helps patients dramatically transform their arms and gives them a more toned look. Likewise, another surgical option includes liposuction. Like a brachioplasty, liposuction helps remove excess fat. But, unlike brachioplasty, there is no removal of excess skin.

While surgical treatments are effective options for significant transformations, many patients achieve moderate results with non-surgical or minimally invasive treatments. Treatments including CoolSculpting, BodyTite, and laser skin resurfacing can all help patients improve the appearance of their arms.

Non-Surgical Cosmetic Treatments for Arms

Reduce Fat with Quantum RF, BodyTite & CoolSculpting

BodyTite is a minimally invasive treatment that uses RF technology to destroy fat cells. Likewise, Quantum RF is another radiofrequency-assisted liposuction (RFAL) treatment. Both treatments are minimally invasive and deliver RF energy in pulses underneath the skin. This energy destroys fat cells, which are then removed.

By contrast, CoolSculpting is completely non-invasive and involves targeting fat deposits and destroying the cells by cooling them. CoolSculpting freezes and crystallizes fat cells. The body’s lymphatic system eventually eliminates them over the course of several weeks to a few months.

Improve Skin Texture and Tone with Laser Skin Treatments

For patients who have concerns about loose skin or skin texture, laser skin resurfacing treatments like Moxi or BBL Hero can help.

These laser treatments are non-invasive and are designed to treat blemishes with minimal downtime. Laser treatments provide targeted treatments by inducing collagen and elastin production in skin tissue.

Likewise, treatments like Morpheus8, which combine RF technology and microneedling, can help improve the texture of skin and tighten skin.

Build Muscle with EMSCULPT Treatments

Emsculpt is a non-invasive treatment that uses both high-intensity electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology and radiofrequency technology to help build muscle and burn fat.

This machine works by forcing muscles to contract thousands of times in a single session, which works similarly to a high-intensity tricep/bicep workout. Patients often feel similar soreness to when they work out. This can help tone and build muscle and improve the appearance of the arm.

EMSCULPT NEO is an upgraded version of the original EMSCULPT and helps with both fat loss and muscle toning.
