Coolsculpting Cape Cod treatments for the double chin involve nothing more than applying the applicator to the under chin fat. The applicator pulls the fat snugly into the applicator cup where cold plates reduce the temperature of the fat to its unique freezing point. Fat cell breakdown begins and over the next 12 weeks the fat is eliminated by the body’s natural sweep mechanism.
The fat, once gone, stays gone. The cells aren’t shrunken, they’re destroyed by the process and removed naturally. Your skin is protected by a special gel sheet. In an hour, the treatment is over.

How many sessions will I need?
Whether or not you need more than one session will depend upon how much fat distribution you have in the area. The applicator must be able to “grab” enough fat to come into contact with the cooling plates. Very minor fat under the chin may be more amenable to other treatments.
Will CoolMini tighten loose skin?
Fat freezing doesn’t tighten skin. It’s only effect is on fat. If you already experience loose skin, there are multiple other options for firming skin tissue and this can easily be addressed when your CoolMini treatment process is complete.
Post treatment expectations
Expect a little numbness, reddening and possibly some swelling and/or bruising. You are not required to undertake any special post treatment steps.
